Here again raises a question for newbies how to get the sim and phone contacts in sync with their Google accounts.
New to android , then follow these steps it just takes a min or two. What all you are supposed to do is...
1. Just export all your contacts to sd card ( contacts>menu> import/export )
2. Mount your device and copy the exported .vcf file to your pc/mac.
3. Now open Gmail in your pc/mac browser > login and then navigate to contacts > import contacts > choose file and click the import button.
4. Finally after import has done you may ask for duplicate contacts to merge if not do it manually, the option will be in taskbar under More>> Find & Merge duplicates...
That's it and you are done, here after while creating a new contact select your Google account as default to save instead of phone/sim.
This tutorials breaks the contacts backup issue and once done you never think of it again, right! :)
